Some Quick Thoughts

Just a couple of things I wanna bring up:

* Punk'd is history..the show will air its last show on Sunday. As I said before, Hil was poorly treated so I have no tears to cry for this show to end!!

*The live version of "So Yesterday" has yet even had 1 day on TRL survey. Its sad to think that this version of the song hasn't even been given a chance, but as I said before its the same song...we can only wait so long for "Come Clean"...

*Hil continues to tour the country. Ironically it seems she wears the same black tank top to each of her concerts. This is from a girl who once said she doesn't wear the same thing twice!!

*My girl is moving to Texas this week so I am a little depressed that I won't be talking to her for a week or so. I did, however, learn something during the last night before her trip. I can't publish it here, but if you want to ask me in person or email me at one of the addresses at the right, I will send you the info.

*Hil will be seen on Entertainment Tonight: Weekend Edition as she will have to save her clothes from Cojo's scissors. She will also be on the Fox special Monday "Jingle Ball Rock" performing. TV Guide calls her a diva in-training. She is no more a diva in training than I am a Hilary impersonator in-training. On second thought, skip that last idea. Hil will also be on "Live with Regis & Kelly" on Thursday. I plan to have a review of each of these appearances next week.

Anyway that is it for now..just remember you are here to support our girl Hil and to visit me of course..love ya'll xoxo Lou*

*or maybe its my impersonator

Catching Up On Everything!

First up some very sad non-Hilary topics:

In the last couple weeks, two people who I had associations passed away. The first was my art teacher I had in 7th grade way back in 1977 (10 years before Hil was born -- how did I ever survive before her..i don't know!!). I never was a wonderful artist and I still can't draw a straight line, but the significance of her was that during every class she would play the radio and this was my first exposure to what was back then pop music (known as disco). During that half-year, I seemed more interested in music than I ever did the art projects we were given. She was only in her early 50's.

The second person who passed away, Dawn, was a woman that I had worked with for 3 years in my previous job. She was a very nice and funny person and we got along wonderfully. Sadly, she was only a couple of years older than I when she died. It really makes you stop and think that age doesn't matter anymore.

This brings me to another topic which continues to bug (haunt) me. It is in regards to age and my feelings for someone like Hil. As I have stated here before, my feelings for her are on the same level as someone of her age..I have perverse thoughts of her at all! I just believe that she is a very talented performer who if she does things well for herself can go far. Even my online (girl)friend brought up the age thing recently and it bothers me that age should be a problem if 2 people like (love) each other. I really hate bringing up the topic so often, but I have to mention it because it bothers others.

Now onto Hilary stuff:

First up: Hilary won an award on November 20, 2003 at the VH1 Big in 2003 Award Show. Unfortunately, she wasn't there in New York to collect her award (she was Petaluma, CA) for breakthrough performer of 2003. She was shown eating nachos and salsa dip out of her new trophy. It was kinda funny, but it just continues to prove my point that she is always eating and she is starting to get fat!! If you need proof of that just look at her arms..they are becoming flabby!! I guess she likes to wear tank tops anyway to flex her flab!

However, Hilary won't have such luck at the Grammys next year for New Artist. She unfortunately was shut out of that category by Fountains of Wayne, which has actually been performing for several years now (1997). Maybe having Hil in the category would have made it an easy win for her, yet it is a disgrace to have an established artist going for best new artist. Who's idea was that..maybe a Hilary hater..they do run amuck you know!!

During the month of November, MTV aired "Making the Tour: Hilary Duff". There was nothing memorable about this half-hour broadcast except it gave you an insiders look at putting together her nightly 1 hour show. On the same note, for that show, Hil has released a new video or should I say a new old video. It is the live version of "So Yesterday". It premiered on TRL on December 3, 2003 and has not yet made it to the countdown. As many of you remember, "So Yesterday" retired from TRL 2 months earlier. This version isn't even a remix version, it sounds exactly like the original. I am glad that this version isn't making it up the survey. However, we do have to wait until January for Hil's video of "Come Clean", which has been previewed on "Entertainment Tonight". I can wait for this one..especially since it involves rain and our girl getting wet. I won't say anymore about it.

Also during November on the show "American Dreams", Hil appeared with her sister Haylie as two members of the group the Shangri-Las. Sadly, Hil seemed to have a less of a part than her sister and the total performance lasted only about 2 minutes. It was a great performance, but it would have been nice if the entire performance had aired and not cut-off. Many other performers who have guest-starred on the show had longer performances. Maybe this was another act of a Hilary hater!

Our next Hil appearance happened on Thanksgiving Day at the Macy's Parade. Hil's appearance happened during the last 20 minutes of the broadcast. Both NBC and CBS aired the parade, but only NBC aired Hil singing about 1 and half minutes of "So Yesterday", CBS aired footage of Hil waving to the crowd only..not performance footage there!! Thankfully I recorded both versions to compare them..and I saved both of them!!

Finally, most recently (last night), STARZ aired the 2001 movie "Human Nature", which featured Hil in the first 5 minutes. There are several problems with this film: #1: its rated R for nudity, strong sexual content and violence. #2: Hil's part is so small that she is on screen for about 2 minutes. and #3: This movie is so bad I couldn't stand watching the whole thing at once (nor will I ever watch this whole movie..it's that bad) and so is Hil's part. To sum up Hil's part (to save you from watching it), Hil plays the part of young 12 year old Lila (who grows up to be Patricia Arquette in the remainder of the film). We see our sweet Hil running home from school carrying her books in front of her, going into her room, locking the door, and unbuttoning her shirt in front of a mirror (yes. you heard right). She is shown wearing a bra and has monkey chest hair just below her bra line while staring at herself in the mirror. She has but one line stating that she was fully hairy (as in ape hair) by the time she was 20!! This absolutely the WORST PART that Hil could have ever ever EVER played in any movie!!! I was embarrassed for the girl..she can do much better than parts like this and should!! Why she even mentions this movie on her website is beyond me because I would be embarrassed about it if I were her!! I rate this movie a big old ZERO!! Nobody should have to see this crap..and the rest of the movie just got worst!!

One last comment I want to make: it seems that Hil may not be having the WB Christmas special that was promised earlier this year. With touring (which has had its own problems of drugs and alcohol at the shows) and other performances and her new video, she seemed to have no time to film it. However, FOX is supposed to be airing a Christmas Special featuring Hil in the next couple weeks..hopefully that one might happen!!

The last topic I want to discuss is Hil merchandising:

2 new Hil cds have surfaced in the last couple of weeks.

One is an exclusive K-Mart remix cd featuring Hil in a special 4 song cd for $4.99 (I purchased 2 of them because the nearest K-Mart is 50 miles away!) Also, K-Mart had a special edition Lizzie McGuire calendar with an orange cover selling for $4.99 as well (half the price of the blue cover calendar..go figure) (i bought 2 of them as well!)

The second cd was an import cd which is supposed to be the first of two cds released. Sadly, they had but just one copy so hopefully I can find a second copy soon so that I can open one up!

Anyway..that seems to be it for this time and I am very sorry that this is so late (Hil has updated her site more than I have updated mine lately!!)!! Luv ya'll xoxo hil*

*I really am not her yet..but someday soon maybe...

AMA Review & The BIG BLUNDER!!

Last night the 31st Annual American Music Awards aired on ABC. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement, I was extremely impressed, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a major issue which I will get to in a bit.

But first, the Pre-show featured our girl Hil sporting a black tanktop (similar to the one she wore at the MTV VMAs this year -- if not the same one!), a gold frilly skirt and gold heels to match. She also wore a large gold medallion around her neck (reminiscent of Isis, the Greek God). She looked really cute and when she was interviewed, she said she really wanted to meet Britney. Prior to that Britney said that she wanted to meet Hil. (What a coincidence!!)

During the pre-show, rehearsals were shown of our girl Hil and she stated that she didn't have a date for the award show (why didn't she call me -- I was waiting for the call!!). She was shown wearing a black shirt with a large pink heart (a tribute to breast cancer - possibly?) on it and knee-torn jeans (not a good fashion choice because her knees looked pretty scratched up -- must have been the rehearsal!!). Her hair also looked significantly blonder than it has in the past. She also looked like she put on a few extra pounds during her international touring. Her belly was sticking out of her tank top quite a bit during the interview session. Hil was the second person interviewed during the show, Britney was the first.

Ok..Now onto the show. Britney opened the show with her standard sleazy version song of "In the Zone". Hil's appearance came 1 hour and 15 minutes into the show at 9:15pm EST. Her performance consisted of a medley of "The Girl Can Rock" (the unreleased song available only on the Target editions of "Metamorphosis"), "So Yesterday", and back to "The Girl Can Rock". She was dressed in a black sleeveless top, black pants, and high black boots. Her set consisted of a blue lighted pyramid with various members of her band positioned on various levels of it. It was obvious from this performance that our girl Hil was NOT lip-syncing. However, she did a lot of running around the stage and up on the pyramid and ended her performance with a headbanging several times on the floor while on her knees. She had extreme energy which according to some today as being a girl "who has eaten an entire box of Lucky Charms and was trying to release the energy". I loved the performance up until the end and then I ended up shaking my head going "Is this really my Hil?". Yep, it was!! I would give her performance a 10!!

Now for the major blunder of the show. It didn't happen on the air--it happened online. Let me explain. ABC has something called Enhanced TV. It is a way for the home viewers to interact while the show is going on. You pick winners and answer trivia questions during the show. You earn points to win a prize. The idea started a couple of years ago when "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" aired on ABC with Regis Philbin. Since then it has been limited to sports and other events like this award show.

Now for the blunder (and its a REALLY BIG ONE that cost me about 4500 points). The question was TRUE or FALSE..Hilary Duff was a mouseketeer. The answer they gave was TRUE. I said the correct answer of FALSE and lost that question because of it. To add insult to injury, the next poll question (still during Hil's performance) was Who was your favorite mouseketeer? The choices were Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and Hilary Duff. I voted for Britney only because voting for Hil is just wrong to this question. However, 17% of the polling audience liked Hilary's performance as a mouseketeer (probably all drug addicts who never knew she wasn't on the show). That's pretty sizeable number for a wrong answer to a poll question!! This was the only blunders I found during the game. I still lost but wound up being a respectable top 3% with 85,100 points. The top winner had 135,225 points. I still feel good about how I did despite the blunders made.

Now for my choice awards of the show:

Worst Lip-Syncing Performance: Britney Spears

Best Performance by Someone Who Stole the Act that Hilary should have done: Pink doing an archapella version of "Trouble" with just a guitar accompaniment (Hil would have done better with an accompaniment of "Come Clean" instead of the head-banging performance that she did (this would have been better for Pink -- she is more of a headbanger))

Best Overall Performance: OutKast with "Hey Ya!"

Best Dressed Act: OutKast (in gold)

Worst Dressed Person: Uncle Kracker (looked like he just woke up from sleeping on someone's couch for a week)

Soggiest Act: Ashanti singing "Rain on Me" (literary getting rained on during the performance -- this wasn't a wet t-shirt contest)

Most Out of Place Presenters: The Smothers Brothers (they must have got in because their Metamucil buddy Dick Clark produced the show -- why does Dick get younger every year?)

Most Touching Moments: Having Luther Vandross' mom Mary accept 2 awards for her son.

and finally the award for Performance that made think twice about wanting to see them in concert: Hilary!!
(if she doesn't split her head open during one of her concerts or trip and fall and die we will all be lucky--she is better off not moving around a lot..But I do love her)

One final comment about the Enhanced TV online game: About an hour and half into the show, people were asked to submit their comments about what they liked about the show and I was the only one to give a positive comment (or any comment at all for that matter) about Hilary's performance. They had all together about 50 comments saying different things and mine arrived on screen at 10:39 pm (I know the exact time because I printed it out). Here it is (in my embarrassed entirety) for the world to see:

What has been your favorite part of the show so far?

LouisBrown24 says:
"I loved hilary duff's performance..She is wonderful!! I really love this girl!!"

If I am not in prison soon, then I should be especially with a comment like that. But it is true..I really do love her!!!

Anyway, my overall review of the show would be a rating of 8. Enhanced TV gets a 5 for its blunder. And as I said before Hil gets a perfect 10!!

Next up for Hil is a concert in Phoenix..Tonight starting anytime now!! Best of luck to her and hopes she doesn't crack her head open otherwise I may have to go out on the road and complete her tour for her!

Until next time..Love ya'll xoxo Hil* (I'm not really her but I may end up being her if she keeps eating whole boxes of Lucky Charms -- too much sugar..Too much weight)

Thanks Hil..Your guy Lou!!

The AMAs, the Tour, and More

Hi, everybody!! I know it has been about 2 weeks since my last post, but I was waiting for Hil to post something new. Nothing surprising in her latest diary entry dated Nov 13, but she has been spending most of her time rehearsing for the AMAs on Sunday night. Apparently she will have a wonderful wardrobe for that night because she was going to be fitted for it as she mentioned in her diary entry. I reproduced the entry below:

Hi Everybody!! I'm so excited about going on tour next week. We've been playing some warm up shows in Los Angeles for the last couple of days and I wanted to thank the E-Team members who came to the shows to support me. I'm still rehearsing everyday for my AMA performance on Sunday and I'm pretty nervous, but afterwards we jump on the tour bus and go to Phoenix where I will play my first show on Monday. I have to run to my wardrobe fitting now. I wanna thank all you guys for your great support and I can't wait to play in all the upcoming cities. Luv ya'll, xoxo hil*

With about 18 city tour over the next month criss-crossing the country at random, it is highly unlikely that Hil will be doing her Christmas special for the WB as was previously announced. Unless she has already filmed it over the last couple of weeks. Maybe the WB backed off the special after how poorly her birthday bash did in the ratings (it finished dead last, by the way!) She made no mention of it on her diary, but then again she didn't mention that she was going to be on an upcoming episode of "American Dreams" airing on NBC on Nov 23.

I will report on both the AMAs and "American Dreams" after the events happen, but for now I highly suggest setting your vcr to tape both of these events...

Special item: Just as I write this Hil was featured on Entertainment Tonight talking with her about how excited she was about performing on the show..let's hope she don't lip-sync like she did on the Nick Special back in September. I wish I had taped it!!

A couple of Hil related items to mention:

I got a big poster that I had wanted finally after 2 months. The place where I got it was reluctant to give it to me and said they could never do it again!! At least I got it!! I'm happy!!

The "All Access Pass: Hilary Duff" DVD was released last week and yes I did purchase it. However, I am not going to watch it until I get a second copy to open. Given that the DVD is under $10 and is about an hour long, it may be a ripoff...(yes I am saying something bad about a Hil item..but I will wait until I watch it before passing final judgement.) Given that the cover and back cover have old pics of Hil that have been seen for quite a while, I really have to wonder how much of a rush job this actually was and if Hil participated at all in its creation!!

For anyone who has not picked up the special edition issue of Popstar magazine with nothing but Hil in it, a few stores still have it, but from what I have read from several of my groups, the magazine is either unavailable or sold out!!

This next week I am on vacation again so I hope to bring info at least a couple times in the coming week.

That is all for now..until next time..bye..luv ya'll Hil xoxo!!!
(the pop princess wannabe)

Dec 15, Performance - Tsongas Arena, Lowall, MA
Dec 16, Performance - Coral Sky Amphitheatre, West Palm Beach, FL
Dec 31, Performance - MTV, Time Square, New York, NY

Judging from how she is going from one part of the country to another in a single day, I highly doubt that she will have much setup time much less room tests and other things that a real artist requires. I would say that she will probably be lip-syncing most of the stuff because she may get so tired travelling that she won't feel like performing. I see a lot of disappointments ahead..just my opinion. I think Hil has since returned back to the US by now only to see a lot of the state of California on fire. Hopefully, our girl is ok...

A must-have fan magazine POPSTAR has produced a special issue devoted fully to our girl Hil!! It has 2 large posters plus many pics from her various movies and the Hawaii special. Currently available on newsstands everywhere..I bought 2 copies!!

Finally, 3 new dolls of Hil has entered the marketplace. They look considerably better than the previous purchased Lizzie doll, but still lacks the cuteness of the real Hil!! The three varieties of the doll are TV Star, Rock Star, and Movie Star. These are must haves for the serious Hil lover such as myself. I've already got mine..and they were very hard to get! See the pics of them at toysrus.com and HilaryDuff.com.

Just a note..things are going very well with my online girlfriend..until next time..luv ya'll Lou..xoxoxoxo!!

"Punk'd" and "Casper Meets Wendy"..Two Times Hil..One Good..One Not!

What happens when you take "Candid Camera", add celebrities, take away the funny, and add Ashton Kutcher"? You get "Punk'd", a lousy excuse for a tv show. In the first episode of the second season, our princess Hil gets to be one of three victims in this week's premiere show. I absolutely hated this show. After all, what is more disgusting than having Hil deal with a guy who carjacks the car that Hil is taking drivers' ed in. This show was more frightening than funny given that this sort of thing happens all the time in California. Being only 15 years old at the taping of this show makes it that much more scary especially for a girl who freaks out as much as Hil does. You could tell that she had fear of what was going on around her. This show was not in any way funny..although Ashton thought it was hilarious. This show absolutely stinks and I am proud to say that and wishfully that Hil would sue these creeps for distress..the perfect punk'd revenge. My rating 0 stars..stay away from this show and it may go away!

Now for something better..somewhat. Hil broke into showbiz with the movie "Casper Meets Wendy". Basically Hil had more screen time than anyone else, but was lacking mention on the video box except in small print. The animation was better than the animation in recent releases of "Hulk" and "Scooby-Doo". That being said this is basically a showcase of old people: George Hamilton, Cathy Moriarty, Teri Garr, and Shelley Duvall. However it is Hil herself that really shines in this movie. At 11 years old (movie was direct to video release in 1998), this girl showed emotions that would later transpire into her Lizzie character. And that smile, all I can say is wow. Yea, the teeth were big, crooked and looked awkward, but she is so cute it didn't really matter!! The cutest part of Hil was the red pajama costume with the cute red hat (the witch costume). If this isn't the cutest thing she has ever worn, then I need help!! Wow is the only way I can describe her look!! The movie was scary during the last 1/2 hour, but who could hate a girl as cute as Hil much less hurt her!! My rating: 3 out of 5 stars for the movie, 5 out of 5 stars for the look including the wonderful wardrobe (it don't get any better than this)!!

See ya'll later..love ya..Hil's northeastern boyfriend..xoxox!!

My Three Lives Or Three Future Wives

Hi Everybody!!! Hil is now in Tokyo in a hotel on the 48th floor. She is winding down her 3 1/2 week round the world trip. I've missed her but feel I have been able to keep up with her with the video diary on her website. Granted it would be nice if the entries were longer but at least it is something!!

Next on my agenda is my online love of my life. Its been about a month now we have been together and our love is as strong as ever if not stronger. Now that we have seen pictures of each other I believe thats what makes us even more likeable to each other!! That is all I want to say about that for now!!

Third, my thought she was lost but now I found her working somewhere else girl became very flirtateous Tuesday when I visited her at her job. She started asking questions which I would deem interesting and still seems to be interested in me. Believe me I am very interested in her, but as I have said before I am keeping all options open for anyone who wants to enter my life.

Anyway, by the time I write my next entry Hil will be back in the states again and preparing for her tour (unfortunately nothing in this part of the country--boohoo). Oh well, maybe she would freak if she met me..I know I would freak if I met her!! Until next time..luv ya..xoxo..Hil's Stand-in!!

Hil Link and My Girl

Hi, everyone!! Hil is continuing her trek through Europe and is heading to Japan next on her trip. She has already been to London, Paris, and Munich. You can see the progress here.

As far as I am concerned, things are certainly getting interesting with my girl. I wish I could publish this stuff, but its not the kind of stuff I can publish. If anyone would like a transcript of it, email me and I will send out a sample of our conversation. Makes me wish that little Jenny or Tanya was still around!

A new email address has been established to add to my other email addresses. I'm sorry that I will never recover the old one, but this one is more fun anyway. Check it out!

Until next time, luv ya, xoxo Lou (Hil's temporary replacement)!

Hil Retires, Hil Goes European, and I Gain a Doll & a Buddy

Today, Hil's song retired from TRL at #2. I voted several times today to get it to #1, but I guess it wasn't enough. Oh well, I will miss this song..we can only wait until "Come Clean" gets released!!

Unfortunately, Hil is in London & Paris this week so she wasn't able to say goodbye to her song..that would have been sweet. Hil's last diary entry was Oct 1 so she hasn't logged anything in 10 days. However, the web site (click the link at the right) features a new VIDEO Diary section that chronicles her daily trip. These short (under 2 minutes) and small windowed video clips are nothing out of the ordinary. Basically, they show her at interviews, practicing her singing (as if she didn't lip-sync the Nick special), and quick monologues & crew intros. Overall, it looks okay, but longer (& bigger) would be better!

Last time, I mentioned that special item that I bought on my recent trip. I found an online link to a place that actually carries it. Here it is: Amazon.com: Toys & Games: Lizzie McGuire 10" Fashion Doll with Outfits

These last few weeks, I have spent a lot of time on my chat..I never used to online chat though. My chat has been a one-on-one chat with a very nice girl (she's legal). In fact, we share so many on the same things its almost freaky. We sometimes spend as many as 6 hours talking to each other at a time!! This is a better relationship than I ever had with Tanya or Jenny before. We seem to understand each other too which is also scary. I'll have more to say about her in my next post..hopefully sooner than a week away (I will do better than Hil does)!!

Anyway until next time, remember to love Hil and unfortunately I can't say to vote anymore right now..but keep requesting "So Yesterday" on the radio so that it can get to #1..its at #24 right now..a 6 spot jump from last week!!

See ya..I got an IM girl to get to..bye..love ya Hil!!

Last Day of Vacation (Boo Hoo!!)

Today, it rained again (when didn't it rain this week). This is probably the single worst vacation week ever!! My inner Lizzie really wanted great weather so that I could go out and get around, but instead I was stuck inside alot of the week writing this blog. I didn't have much chance to talk to my friend because she was sick most of the week.

This week Hil's album slipped 5 (yes 5) spots down to #10 on Billboard's Hot 100. It was almost expected that Hil would drop eventually, just not this fast this soon! I guess it was a fluke being #1 for the couple of weeks that she was (the premiums that everyone gave away helped--I bought 3 copies--the first week). Now it looks like Hil is in freefall along with her single "So Yesterday". At least she still has 1 more week on TRL. Let's get her to #1!!

Today, I watched "Nick's Let's Just Play FInish Line Festival". This was the most painful 3½ hours of tv I have ever sat through. Basically, it was like one giant barbecue with special contests and musical performances by Clay Aiken and Hil. Hil's first appearance in the show came 2¼ into it. She sang her next single "Come Clean", not nearly as well as the Hawaii special version. Her next appearance happened about 55 minutes later (after watching a half-hour of Squarepants--more on that in a bit) when she sang "So Yesterday", again not as good as the Hawaii special but still very enjoyable. The entire 3½ hour show was basically a marathon of "Spongebob Squarepants" episodes with live events thrown in every once in a while. It doesn't seem that Hil put everything into her performance after all she probably doesn't want to get tired out for her plane trip to London. In fact, at this time she is probably at the airport getting ready to board for her flight. Sadly, the U.S. will lose her for about 3 weeks and I'll miss her and I will think about her everyday and hope she stays safe!! Hopefully, she will keep her word of keeping us posted on her travels!! Good Luck, Hil..Luv Ya FOREVER!!
Weekly wrap up of Hil

Approximately 24 hours from now, Hil will be on an airplane heading to London. I wish her the best on her 3 week trip. However, Hil will miss the retirement of "So Yesterday" next Friday as it will hit its 50th day on TRL. Let's have it go out at #1 and make Hil proud.

Today, Hil ended up at #3. But the good news is that Outkast finally left the number 1 spot after a record-breaking 11 days. Justin's song retired today at #1, so Hil will have a good chance Monday to leapfrog to #1 and remain for the life of her song. Best of luck!!

Last night I did talk to my friend for a little while, but she was so sick with a fever that she didn't stay on-line for long. Tonight, she showed up for a few seconds then disappeared. I hope she's not mad at me.

Anyway, as I wind up my vacation, I really didn't talk about what I did this week. Not much indeed. On Monday, I went to Massachusetts for a shopping trip. On Tuesday, I went to the fair and it was so crowded that we only stayed for about 6 hours. On Wednesday and Thursday, I did pretty much nothing except work on this blog. On Friday, I went north to Bangor to eat at a buffet restaurant and do some shopping. It's this shopping trip that was special for what I bought (found after searching many places for it). However, being the type of person I am (interestingly both Hil & I were born under AIR zodiac signs), I will save that for an entry in the coming week. After all, since Hil is going away for 3 weeks, I need something to discuss on this site.

One final note, I have added status indicators for the various online services on this blog and also on my webpage. This will make it much easier to see if I am online so that we can chat. Mind you that I will not tolerate dissers, so if you are one than just go away, otherwise you are welcome to IM me.

Until next time..I luv Hil and the world hates me for it!!

Hil Update & Halfway through my vacation

Late last night (around 2am our time, 10pm her time), Hil wrote the following diary entry:

Hi Everybody!!! I'm so sorry that I haven't been writing in my diary but it's been just crazy the last couple of weeks. I finally turned 16 last Sunday and I had one of my best birthday's ever. I've been rehearsing every day with my band and on Saturday we're performing two songs on the Nickelodeon show "Let's just play". After the show we have to go straight to the airport to catch a flight to London. I'm so excited to go to Europe, Australia and Japan. I will let you guys know how it is going on the road, ok? It's getting late and I have to catch some sleep. Luv ya all, xoxo hil*

It seems that she will be out of the country for 3 weeks and thus her entries may seem "So Yesterday". In fact, checking her website both the fanclub and online store section should have started in September, but didn't. Apparently everyone is too busy to keep the website updated regularly. All I can say is good luck, be safe, and I luv ya Hil!! Hopefully, the site will keep its word of the video diary of her worldwide travelling.

On to me, this has got to be one of the most BORING vacations I have ever had. I have spent more time on my computer trying to fix problems than anything else! I listen to the radio to keep me entertained, but it seems they just play the same songs over and over. Rarely, do they ever play Hil's song, but they are starting to play it...

I have also spent time voting on TRL to bring Hil to #1, but it seems the more I vote the lower she goes (currently #3). It seems that the group Outkast can't be beat with the song "Hey Ya". They even set the record for the longest surviving song at #1 (10 days). It's not that I hate the song (it's kinda cute, really), but its just that..well..it's just that..it's not Hilary!! I have to support my girl!! She has less than 10 days to retirement and she needs to at least retire at #1!! She deserves it after all her first song "Why Not" (which I consider a little better song) didn't even last 2 weeks in the survey.. It will be sad when Hil's song retires, but I have taped it enough times so that I can watch when I wanna.

Until next time..let's support Hil's worldwide tour and wish her good health.

One final thing I wanted to mention is that I have is a new email address to replace my unavailable one. I will be updating soon to let everyone know what it is. It's as cool as the original even cooler. I still would like to get the old one back!! In fact, it confused my online girlfriend when I sent her an email of the change. But she accepted the change well. We haven't talked in the last few days, but I hope to possibly talk today. I will talk to just about anyone as long as they follow my guidelines and not come on as a disser!

That's it for now...bye!!

Hil's Birthday & Day 2 of My Vacation

On TRL today, Hil called in discussing her birthday. She said she thought that the t-shirt picture thing was "awesome" (isn't everything with Hil awesome!?!). She said that she went out with her friends, and received a couple of pairs of shoes (she has shoe fetish--she owns over 100 pair--does she need anymore?), a two-way pager, and also (no surprise) a CAR (probably worth more than every vehicle that I ever owned at new car prices). She must had incredible 16th birthday--I know it sounds like it!! Tom Welling (Smallville) was also on TRL today discussing his work on the movie "Cheaper by the Dozen" with Hil. From the previews I have seen, it looks like a new version of "Home Alone". Check it out at Cheaper By The Dozen.

On day 2 of my vacation, I did some shopping out of state. However, I didn't buy anything (I'm not HIL), but I did notice that in the local Target store that the new copies of Hil's CD DOES NOT contain the bonus track "The Girl Can Rock" Thankfully, I bought 2 copies of it when I could. If you haven't bought it yet, I'd hurry and get it before it will no longer be available! It's worth it! If you don't believe me look up my review of it under amazon.com for 5-star reviews. Anyway, that's all for today.

Just a Personal Reflection

In the last few days, I have received a few IMs from people dissing me about liking Hilary. First let me make one thing perfectly clear: I AM NOT PERVERTED ABOUT THIS AND I TAKE OFFENSE TO PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT!! If you really don't like Hil or what I believe, then simply don't come here and don't IM me telling me so!! I know this almost sounds rude, but people have been getting the very wrong idea! Dissers are abound everywhere, but I want to keep them out of my face and out of my IM. To those who know me personally, I have been going through a lot of issues lately and dealing with people like this doesn't help! We thank all of you for your continued support to advance Hil's career.
Day 1 of My Vacation

Well, first off Happy Sweet 16 Birthday Hil..hopefully you got the car that you wanted!! I wish I was there instead of doing what I am doing!!

What I'm doing: Participating in my IM Chat (where's everyone else?) I am regathering all of my groups that I lost from my temporary lost (hopefully)..i've had to go through 4800 deleted emails to find the group names (no fun). It's also raining out..so this day really sucks!!

I bet that Hil is having a much better day!! Once again Happy Birthday Hil!! Luv Ya FOREVER!!

Bad Birthday Gift for Hil

On Friday's TRL, the gang decided to have the entire audience get their picture taken while wearing a shirt like the one Hil had everyone wore in the "So Yesterday" video. The orange "Everything is Bigger in Texas" shirt is kinda freaky especially when it is worn by each of these audience members. Each had polaroid taken of them and each picture was put in a large red box with gold polka dots and supposedly be sent to Hil for her 16th birthday! This sounds like either a freaky gift, a bad joke, or the best gift ever. I think Hil will think its probably each of them!! I know I would!! As far as the countdown is concerned, Hil ended the week at #2 (I tried, I voted several times). We really need to get her to #1 again especially since the song only has 2 weeks left to air (so sad!)!

Anyway, Hil turns 16 tomorrow and I will be home celebrating it!! Anyone who wants to IM me can, I already have 1 person who will be..but that's a story I will talk about next week!! I'm on vacation so I maybe on-line most nights!!

One final note of irritation..the latest issue of Billboard magazine says that Hil's birthday was Sept 9. This is so WRONG!! You would think that this magazine would get it right!!

Review of Hilary Duff's Island Birthday Bash

First off if you missed this show, it will re-air on the WB Sunday night Sept 28 (Hil's REAL birthday) at 7pm. Don't miss this show the second time around..it's worth watching!! Even though it placed DEAD LAST in the ratings Wednesday night (only about 2 million viewers) and was given a bad review in Entertainment Weekly Magazine (I don't think they like her anyway--they never reviewed her cd) calling it a show that "nobody over 12 years old should watch unless they need medical attention". Guess what: I should be DEAD right now for watching it!! The bottom line: I LOVED THIS SHOW AND I LOVE HIL!!!!!!!!

Now for the review:

The show starts off somewhat innocent enough. We enter Hil's bedroom and look around (yes, it's all pink) and also get a fast look at the neighborhood and the outside of her house!! Note to stalkers: if you watch this and know Hil's neighborhood, she's in deep trouble..it was a bad idea showing a quick drive to her house. After the quick tour, we meet some of Hil's best friends. They all seem nice enough and VERY close (a couple of them were previously introduced in the MTV Diary Special last month). The one big "surprise" that Hil didn't know about is that her friends were going to Hawaii too. But they were taking a different flight so that they could surprise her when she got there. And she thought she was leaving them behind...

Once in Hawaii, the show basically turns into a travel log. See Hilary kayak through caves, see her jump off cliffs, see her snorkel, see her atv ride (thankfully she wore a helmet), see her play Tarzan by swinging on a rope into water, and surf (she was tethered to the board so she wouldn't drown).

About 10 minutes into the show, Hil performed her first song "Come Clean". It was actually the second song. The first was her hit "Why Not". It played over the opening of the show. This will be her next released single and judging from the sound of it, this song is perfect. In fact, this should be the video for the song. It takes place in a giant canyon with Hil dressed in Hawaiian style clothes and panning around the area. A few minutes later, she performed "Anywhere But Here" in a similar venue. This took the first half hour of the show.

The second half hour was all concert. Hilary performed "Little Voice", "Workin' It Out", "So Yesterday" and "Party Up" in that order for the next 15 minutes. Then came the "surprise guest": Simple Plan signing only 1 song: "Heartbreaker". They panned into the audience where Hil was more times than they showed the band. Then after that, everybody joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" and Hil came up on stage to cut a large birthday cake brought out on stage. Instead of eating it, she smacked on the face of the band's leader. He took a piece and rubbed it on her face in retaliation. Apparently, she enjoyed that more than eating it!

With about 5 minutes left in the show came the most tender moment: all of Hil's friends put together a scrapbook of their trip and presented it to her around a campfire on their final night on the island. She absolutely loved it! Then the show was over..it seemed to end way too quickly!

The show was taped over the Labor Day weekend, so apparently not much time could be given to any activity. But Hil enjoyed them all!! Between scenes, Hil, while laying on a beach chair at the hotel, does a monologue on what happened next in every scene. She seemed extremely happy and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The only bad thing was that we never see Hil arriving back on the mainland again!! Then again, it was only 1 hour long!! Overall, Hil performed 7 songs (I loved them all!) from her cd and Simple Plan performed just 1. To say that anyone over 12 should not watch this special, just doesn't understand that this show was mostly a musical travel journal!! My rating: 10 out of 10. Kleenex rating: you will need a couple at the end when Hil receives her scrapbook, but otherwise this is a very HAPPY show!!

Once again, if you missed it the first time around, don't miss it Sunday night at 7pm on the WB!! You will be sorry!!

I'm not TOO OLD...REALLY!!

Tonight, I had probably the shortest IM conversation in history. After I told one person how old I was, they said "BYE" and left the conversation quickly. Humiliated..not really..but I am not embarrassed to admit that I REALLY DO LOVE HILARY!! I am not perverted!! Anyway that line is getting really stale, but I stand by my fav girl.

On another note, in about 18 hours, Hil's birthday special will air on the WB..I've got 2 vcrs recording it!! I wish I could stay home and watch it, but I have to pay for my Hilary stuff somehow!!

Until next time...Hil is #1...luv ya hil*...bye!!

Where Hil has been in the last few days?

I am reprinting her diary entry of today here because I thought that it was important in keeping up with her! If only I was in LA with her now...sharing her breakfast..

Sept 20, LA

Good morning everybody!! I'm at home and I have nothing to do for today and tomorrow and I'm so happy about that. Last week I've done a lot of travelling to promote my album. I went to Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis and Detroit and everyone I met was so cool. Thanks for all of your support. Yesterday I had a photo shoot for "Seventeen" magazine and last night I went out with my friends. I start rehearsing with my band again on Tuesday to get ready for my mini tour in November. Alright, I have to get breakfast now!! Luv ya all, xoxo hil*
Review of Cadet Kelly from Disney Channel (Friday, Sept 19,2003)

When I first saw the previews of this movie that came out last year, my thought was "Lizzie Goes to Military School" and it would be a comedy. However, was I EVER WRONG!!! This was THE SADDEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN! It was not a bad movie, just a very emotionally jarring movie. To sum it up:

14 year old Kelly Collins (Hilary) has to deal with her mother's remarriage to a military man who enrolls Kelly into a military school. Unfortunately, Kelly feels that her new stepdad is a very cold person and doesn't ever get close to his new daughter. Kelly seems to get into endless trouble and must face horrible boot camp training by 16 year old Cadet Captain Stowe (played by Christy Carlson Romano of Disney's Even Steven). The two don't get along at all and poor Kelly gets into a lot of trouble. She is eventually placed as the equipment manager of the drill team where she watches the others do their thing and when nobody's around practices with the fake guns (this fact is mentioned throughout the previews). Kelly later encounters Stowe and creates a routine that is a great dance exhibition for the competing drill team. Meanwhile, Kelly's mom is pregnant and she is upset that the child's father will treat him/her the same way they have treated Kelly. Without spoiling the film, I must say it was emotionally draining to watch Hil go through all of the obstacle course items she had to endure (no apparent stunt double was used -- it was all her!) There are many times in this movie where Kelly cried and so did I. This movie was in no way, shape or form a comedy although it did have some funny parts in it. This was a drama of epic proportions. Highly emotional and not a typical Disney style movie! This is not the type of movie that any child should watch alone because some of the scenes are very emotional!! It would be nice to have this movie released on DVD, but there are no immediate plans for it. My rating is a 9 out of a possible 10. The Kleenex rating is 10 out of 10 (you will need to keep a box beside you while watching this, I didn't and my shirt got awfully wet from wiping my eyes so many times!! This should have been an award winning performance for Hil, but unfortunately like most of these type of shows are overlooked!! EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Unfortunately, no future air date has been given in the immediate future but I will let you know as soon as I do!

By the way, Wednesday is the day that the WB at 8pm is running Hil's Birthday Bash from Hawaii!! I will have a full review of that as soon as it is on! It will repeat on Sunday, Sept 28 at 7pm.
Hil's Movie, Her Position, and I Got HER!!

Since Hil hasn't written in her online diary since Sept 7, it is unknown exactly what she is doing or where she is. So I decided to give a rundown of my week instead in reverse order.

Friday: Hil made it back to #1 on TRL (happy, happy, joy, joy). After falling to #4 earlier in the week, we were able to bring her back to where she belonged. Congrats to all that helped!!

Thursday: Nothing major happened except that I almost got locked in at work, the second time in seven years that this has happened to me..talk about a Lizzie moment!!

Wednesday: I broke down and bought the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Even though I really no longer care about Brit, the cover was definitely a keeper. It will only be time when she does show everything...

Tuesday: Because of special sales at 2 local bookstores and coupons I needed to use. I purchased the ENTIRE set of 12 currently available Lizzie books. The cover pictures alone were worth the price!! The next book comes out in October.

and now for the BIG EVENT..DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!

Monday: The BIG EVENT that was supposed to happen weeks ago finally happened!! I GOT HIL!! No, I did not capture the real girl, but the second best thing. My long desired LIFE-SIZE HIL as Lizzie!! I picked her up during my lunch break! Her luggage went in the back seat and she went into the trunk!! I wanted to make sure that nobody stole her!! Ironically, when I headed home the first song I heard was Hil's "So Yesterday". This was almost freaky because I had her in my car and it was only the second time I heard the song on the radio and the first time during prime-time. I won't forget the time (it was 9:55pm) that it came on the radio. I had the windows down and had the song blasting from the radio loudly singing to it. As far as what has happened to Hil right now, her luggage is standing by the closet in my entertainment room and she is laying (lying) down on the floor in front of my tv. She has tried several times to trip me since I put her there almost a week ago! This was quite a prize! Soon Hil and luggage will be reunited!

Hil Made It..Then Lost It..and other things!!

After an all-night voting session on Tuesday (I voted several times), Hil FINALLY made #1 on TRL on Wednesday! She was also #1 on Thursday as well!! But unfortunately because I didn't vote Thursday, Hil slipped to #2 on Friday...arrgghhhh!!!!! I have to start all over again to get her to the top! Oh well, Sunday night seems to be free for that!! Apparently, Thursday wasn't a good day for Hil because her concert in Dallas was cancelled because of rain..is this an omen that maybe she shouldn't consider a tour!! Only time will tell...

Second topic: I purchased the Rolling Stone Mag with Hil's article in it!! $3.50 seems expensive for 2 pages of a magazine!! Oh well, in case you have heard the next issue may be worth the price just for the cover alone!! I won't spoil the surprise, but it has nothing about Hil, but explains further why I am FULLY dedicated to Hil ONLY!

Third topic: I don't like to talk about this, but I feel that I have to. Thursday was a sad day in pop culture as we lost 2 icons: Johnny Cash and John Ritter. While both come from 2 very different walks of life, each provided for an entire generation (actually more than 1) to escape from reality. Mr. Cash provided for one of my first interests in music and also made me want to become a DJ. Unfortunately, I never have fulfilled that dream. But, I am still strongly interested in music although it is more teen oriented stuff today! Mr. Ritter entertained me during my youth by being funny in a somewhat sexy, but not sexual show. I remember "Three's Company" coming on at 9pm and I usually went to bed shortly after that show was over. Mr. Ritter's most current show "8 Simple Rules" followed a similar path, but was more kid-oriented. Sadly, we won't get a second season of this hit show! Both of these pop icons will be missed dearly because their influence spanned generations and also various races. They saw no barriers..they both were trailblazers!! Until next time..good night!!

A Good Link of Hil

Click on the video link after clicking on the link below for an interview with Hil which I say is nothing short of amazing. Simply put, there is a REAL humanitarian side of the girl which this interview shows. This girl is for real and so are her charitable organizations. Please enjoy the interview..you will be surprised (I was!)!

While You Were In Hawaii...

Poor Hil! She is in Hawaii taping her soon-to-be aired special for the WB and has no job with Disney anymore!! Sadly, she is dominating the covers of most of the magazines to tell her story of sadness! The latest additions to her cover stories are the latest issue of Teen People which she shares the cover with that little doggie Bow-Wow. She is also the dominant cover story of the new issue of Popstar Magazine covering six pages inside along with an insider look at my fav song "So Yesterday". Even though the pics don't do justice to the video (MTV's Making the Video special about a month back was much better!), it was still nice to see my fav in some nice pics. Speaking of nice pics, for the second month in a row, she has a extra-large pull-out poster in the middle!! I like this issue so much I bought 2 just to have a poster to hang and one to save nice in the mag! I also purchased the Teen People issue as well (only 1 of them). Hil is also featured in the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine (she is mentioned in the lower corner of the cover). She only gets 2 pages in this mag and basically they talked about her "Jailbait" influence. The large picture of her looked odd, but still looked like her. As far as that "jailbait" thing, Mr. Judge, I am under 18, I swear to it, I'm the same age as Hil (15)!! Don't you believe me!! Don't let my graying hair fool you!! Hil is not jailbait, but I love her very much!! Okay, so I'm almost old enough to be her dad--okay so I AM old enough to be her dad!! Does it matter!?! Hil is not jailbait!!! She's really just a sweet girl rocking the nation her way!!

And speaking of rocking the nation, I congratulate Hil and myself for getting Hil up to #3 on TRL. She had slipped to #7 the day before, but after voting on-line several times (my hands did get tired!) she has risen up 4 spots. We only need 2 to go to get her to #1!! We can do it--in fact I have already voted several times to get her there!! Best of luck, my darling!! Can't wait to see the results of my effort on Monday's show!! I'll report my effort in my next update! You can vote by clicking this link: www.mtv.com/onair/trl/vote

One final thought of the day: On Tuesday, Disney Radio Jams Volume 6 will be released!! Hil's song "I Can't Wait" is featured on it! The rest of the songs aren't worth the price of the cd, so I won't be buying it especially since this song has been released on previous releases! Sadly, Disney thinks it can just throw songs together like other companies to create compilations. Smart people will ignore this release!!

As I finished writing this entry, Hil wrote her diary entry saying that she is now in Toronto and will soon be in Dallas for a show!! She said she enjoyed her time in Hawaii!! I wish she would come here in this area to perform..I'd be the first in line for that!! Luv ya all..especially you Hil!

Comparing Hil's Week with mine!

Nothing amazing happened to either of us on Monday!

Tuesday:

HIL: Her cd was released and she was in Los Angeles for a signing for it. Later, she would catch a flight to New York and arrive around midnight.

ME: I purchased 3 (yes 3) copies of her newest cd!! Two of them I purchased at Target with the bonus track of "The Girl Can Rock". The third one I purchased was the signature special editon at the Disney Store. She only has 499,997 copies for her gold record. I did my part--someone else will have to help out. I also purchased the Lizzie Movie Soundtrack cd there as well just to have a copy of each of her signature disks.

Wednesday:

HIL: She was guest today on TRL and she was as cute as ever. Her song got all the way up to #2..she hasn't made it to #1 yet. She looked better than the other 2 guests of Kelly Clarkson and Jessica Simpson. Quite a lineup. Later at 4pm, she was going to do more signing at the local Virgin record store.

ME: I went to work like I always do...

Thursday:

HIL: She went to the Video Music Awards to see her favorite performer Britney get kissed by Madonna. She was also a presenter, but she seemed that she wanted to cry more than anything. She never looked comfortable there. But then again, who would be if you had to virtual unknowns to be your co-presenters. According to ET. she wore black, Capri pants, a sleeveless shirt, purple lace-up pumps and adorned the outfit with an YVES ST. LAURENT, rhinestone-studded, cuff bracelet. Anyhow, she looked fabulous!! Interestingly she was on the red carpet 45 minutes into the Opening Act show and was a presenter 1hr and 45 min into the main show!! Ironic isn't it! (I kept track of when she was on screen - I admit I have no life!!)

ME: I went to my regular job and then watched the VMAs when I got home..and to say that I almost cried when Hil was about to cry!! She really was freaking out on stage!! Thankfully she was leaving for Hawaii for a vacation/taping a special for the WB of her 16th birthday! I also purchased the YM magazine because Hil was the cover girl of it!

Friday:

HIL: Her diary special aired today on MTV. It was called "Diary of Hilary Duff: In the Driver's Seat". The show basically focused around her want of a driver's license which she will be getting in a couple of months. Beyond that, there was no real secret ideas of her or so I thought. Apparently, on Aug 2, 2003, she got a tattoo on her left foot. I was kind of ugly covering all her toes and the top of her foot. I'm hoping that this is just a temp, but I doubt it. The question that should be asked is "Why at age 15, would she get a tattoo without her parents being present?" Even though her sister Haylie (age 18) was there, I still don't think it was appropriate for her to decide Hilary's tattoo. I am against tattoos, but I still love Hil very much despite this "mistake".

ME: I watched the diary special with the intent of learning some bizarre secret of Hil, but instead I was disappointed in her life choice. Otherwise, it was still a pretty good show. Hil was also featured briefly on "ET" (under 3 minutes) previewing her choice of clothes and taking that limo ride to the award show. Again, another disappointment in focusing in on her.

One thing I have realized about her and me is that both of us seem to be emotional and cry over the same sort of things. Maybe we are the same person in parallel worlds..

Hopefully, Hil hasn't disappeared for a month while taping her special, but I think she has!!

Yet Another Change!! Hilary Made Me Do This One!

The color of the background has been changed to green to reflect the tone of Hilary's site. Gone is the sweet pink tone. What a metamorphosis!

More Changes

I added another email address in which I can be reached at (hilary_and_lizzie_rocks@yahoo.com). I am surprised nobody had that one!! Yesterday morning around 4:30am, I finally heard "So Yesterday" on the radio. They said it was the #1 single this week!! Congrats to Hils on that one and that she made it all the way to #2 on TRL countdown show. Let's hope she gets to #1 this week. She has a very busy week by making appearances for her album on both coasts, making an appearance on TRL, and being a presenter at the MTV VMAs. I wish I had her easy life!!

Changes to Blog and Another Hilary Day

If you haven't noticed this blog has changed. The layout has changed to reflect the "pink" behavior of Hilary. (Truth is we are going to alter the color to real pink soon to look like Hilary's site!). Second, the name has changed to reflect what is really going on here! In case, you missed the last few posting Hilary is it! What I forgot to mention on a post last week is that about 5 minutes after the "Circle of Life" video aired, a short version of Hilary's song "Why Not" aired, which is also featured on the upcoming cd.

This week I purchased 2 magazines with Hilary. One was Tiger Beat with a jumbo poster of Hilary with a disco ball. It also had a jumbo poster of Avril too. I should have bought them all! The second one I purchased was GL (Girl's Life) magazine. When you look at the cover you will know why!

I also purchased the game of "What would LIzzie do?". This is a new game from MB. I purchased it just for the picture on the cover. I put the game on my dresser so that it is the last thing I look at night and the first thing I look at in the morning. I did say I was strange didn't I? (I'm sorry I just had another Lizzie moment!)

However, my biggest desire to get is the large cardboard cutout of Hilary at my neighborhood video store. I would LOVE to have this life size cut-out of her, but I am afraid to ask what will happen to it after they dispose of it! Maybe someone else has already put a claim in on it! But I know I would love to have it!! I stare at it everytime I go into the mall and blow kisses to it!! I did say I was strange didn't I? I am Lizzie..enjoy your day!! Oh and by the way check out the BRAND-SPANKING NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS I set up!! I thinks its totally cool!! What do you think..email me at it and tell me what you think!!

I bought this magazine for obvious reasons..need I say more!

The Marathon and Hilary Counter

Right now as I write this, I am in the midst of a Lizzie mini-marathon. 4 episodes back-to-back. Ironically, the more I watch the more I AM LIZZIE!! Awkward and clumsy and most importantly feeling insignificant at times. This really is a great show especially the bloopers they show at the end of each episode. Secondly, last night I saw the new Disney music video "Circle of Light" (from the Lion King) performed by the "Circle of Friends" group made up of stars from Disney shows led by Hilary herself. In fact, she got the top closing credit to the video and I counted 34 times(!! - yes I really did count EVERY appearance!) that she was on camera, possibly twice as many times as any other of the seven from the group. The video which mixed from the hit movie and live action singers was a wonderful adaptation of the song. Most liked part was Hilary..but you probably knew that already. By the way, her birthday is on September 28th and the WB will be airing a special birthday bash on that date (repeated from the 24th)!! Talk about a sweet 16 party!!

Lizzie & Mystery Lady Exposed!

This week, I purchased "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" as promised. I also bought the soundtrack and also bought the tv show soundtrack. Hey, they were on sale and I'm now a sucker for Hilary. (read that to be: I LOVE HILARY!!) I will probably be buying the album "Metamorphisis" when it is released Aug 29. Unfortunately, now for about the third or fourth week in a row, my favorite girl was no where to be found on Tuesday. However, everything changed Thursday, August 14, 2003 at 8:50pm....

The mystery girl (I know her first name, but I wasn't telling anyone) came into my workplace with her boyfriend (or brother, I hope) to purchase a computer table. Mind you I was shocked when I saw her, but she spotted me immediately. Since she didn't come through my counter, she WAVED and SMILED at me from the next register over. I, of course, waved, smiled, and sent a "hello" to her. So much for the secret.. Oh well, I will admit that I do like (no, I mean love) this girl!! It was only in the last week that she too has a vanity license plate on her car too. Great way to always know if she's working. Now that the secret is out, the truth be known that I am IN NO WAY offended by the way she looks!! I have finally realized that a relationship can come into being easier when you set different standards. No longer does a potential need to be blonde-haired, blue-eyed (yes, I still desire Julie too) or even other things (W & K still interests me). After the truth has now been revealed and that she knows where I work, does this make the relationship better or worse? Judging from what I saw Thursday night, better may be the answer!! More soon...bye for now!

That was "So Yesterday" and Yes IT IS Hilary's World!

A couple of weeks ago MTV aired a couple of specials that deserved my attention. First the second of the two specials was the "Diary of Avril Lavigne". If you thought she was a boy before, you will really think differently after watching this show. Especially, when she struts around in a black bikini. She is hot stuff, but like she said she doesn't like to expose herself like that. Too bad for me.

The first special deserving mention was a making the video special of Hilary Duff performing "So Yesterday". It is a very cute video and she is cute and yes she CAN sing! In fact , I liked the song so much that I bought the single last week from my favorite girl (where have you been lately?). Ironically, in less than a week 10 copies of this song sold, but at $1.99 it was a steal, just for the cover alone!! Even though she is only 15 years old (soon to be 16), she really is (can I dare say this) a very sexy young lady. Maybe this is why the cover of the soon to be released "Lizzie McGuire Movie" and "Agent Cody Banks" have sexy looking pictures of her on it! Yes, I did buy the "Cody Banks" DVD and I will be buying the other one as soon as it is released. Sad to say that neither of these two ladies are really old enough for me and that their combined ages are still younger than I am.

In other thoughts, the group Dream has released a new video called "Crazy" and these girls are hotter and sexier than ever. Lots of skin in this video. They too are very talented and cannot wait for their cd to be released in late August. It would be nice if they released a new set of dolls because I only got 2 of the original dolls and 1 of them (Melissa - the cutest one in my mind) is no longer with the group. But the new girl Kasey is very beautiful and makes a great fourth member to Holly, Ashley, and Diana. They along with Hilary are doing pretty well on MTV TRL, but could do much better. Neither have hit #1, but both deserve it!! We can only hope for the best!!

Cute in the middle of nowhere!

During my recent vacation while heading home, the family stopped in Selma, North Carolina for our final overnight stay. This small town had your typical things: KFC, Pizza Hut, Waffle House, and topless joint (no, I didn't visit it--however, it was on the dirt path behind the hotel).

We decided to stop at the local Pizza Hut to pick up some pizza. While there I found the cutest little redhead named Amanda (why are Amandas always so cute?). This girl probably about 20 years old seemed to be doing everything around the restaurant from clearing dishes to running the register (using a stylus pointing at a screen left-handed). She operated the register so fast that it seemed like it was a part of her. She only smiled at me because she seemed so busy, but yet she seemed so out of place by not socializing with the other employees. Ironically, it seemed that there was only about a half-dozen customers in the restaurant on the evening that we were there. We waited about 20 minutes for our order and at all the time I was staring at this cute girl. Someday, I would like to meet this girl, but I highly doubt that she will ever come up to the northeast much less ever read this blog about her. But if she does, I will be waiting....

Review of Special

Usually I don't review shows here, but I feel a need to review this one that aired on Sunday, June 8, 2003 on abc family channel. The show was "Avril Lavigne: Anything But Ordinary". I have mixed feelings about this show. First, it was based on a concert tour in London earlier this year. Second, it was part concert intermixed with interview sessions in black and white. All the good songs were featured in the first half of this hour long special leaving the last half hour with second rate songs (or future releases). The interview sessions were interesting, but since it was a self-proclaimed monologue it played out more like a therapy session, where we (the viewers) were the therapists.

All seemed like it was going to be light and fluffy, until the last 10 minutes or so. This is when the show took a strong emotional turn when Avril had discussed the death of her grandfather that happened earlier in the day of the concert being featured in the special. The emotional song "Tomorrow" was her dedication to her grandfather and was sung with such emotion that you could see the tears building up in her eyes. When she finished the song, she thanked the crowd, started crying, turned around and was comforted by her band members. This was such an emotional moment that I even cried myself. If anyone doesn't believe that this girl is for real, then they should watch the last 10 minutes of this special. For anyone who labels this girl as weird, punk, or otherwise will certainly feel differently after watching this show. This girl is for real and deserves a good long career, no matter how she feels about the world around her. In some ways, I have to agree with her in this special about her feelings. At only 18, this girl know reality and knows how to express her emotions; she's not afraid to cry and be tough at the same time! My rating is an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale.

Happy World..yea right!

On the same day as I celebrated my birthday, I also celebrated my 15th year in retail. While my birthday was quite a sedated event this year as compared to last year, the 15th anniversary wasn't even mentioned. The reason is that nobody except myself would even know that this event even existed. In that time, I have learned that relationships built around retail are doomed or at least they should be...more on that in a bit!!

Last Saturday night while driving home from work, I heard on one of those radio shows that the group "Dream" was on it. As I was listening to the conversation with them, it seems they have no regret that my favorite "Dream" girl Melissa is gone. She was my fav and was only one of 2 of the "Dream" dolls that I own. Rumor is that the new group (3 original members along with a new 4th member) will be releasing a new CD later this summer. I can't wait. It has been about 2 years since there last song "This is Me" was in the Top 40. I liked this song about as much as their #1 song "He Loves U Not". Ladies, I'll be waiting for the CD...

I have made a final decision. I will not be attending my high school graduation reunion. The main reason is that I just don't care anymore and want to not look stupid as to why I haven't gotten married or haven't done anything great like write a book like Sue. Yes, Sue I did buy a copy of your book (an autographed one at that, discounted price too). I haven't read it, I don't intend to. I just packed it away as a collector's item. This is about as close as you will ever get to signing anything else in my life!!

You know you shop too much when the people know you by name. It gets worse when they go a step further and get excited about your next visit the next week. Such is the case in one local store when last week I made a purchase with this really cute cashier (I usually go to her because she is nice and handles products carefully) and she asked me why I didn't buy any DVDs that week. I bought the latest DVD single from one of my favorite performers instead (it was sold here 2 weeks before it legally should have, but who cares). When I told her that there was nothing I cared about that week, I went on to tell her that I would be buying some DVDs next week (that was yesterday) and she said with a big smile "SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY!" Two things seem wrong with this: First, she already knows that she is working on that day for the following week and second that the statement was not the usual "Thank you for shopping at .." statement. It seems that this girl really likes me, but I do have a couple of reservations. One is obvious when you look at her (I am not the least bit prejudice in this case as I said she was really cute), the other is that retail relationships are bad. Yet, I have never had a retail/customer relationship so I can't say if it can't/wouldn't work. Most all of my relationships have happened within my own work environment with some devastating results. Then there is the girls (at least 3 in the other store have similar effects, but not as noticable results). Yesterday, she kept her promise and I kept mine. The smilin' keeps coming.

July 4th is about a month away and there is no intention to celebrate anything this year or give any gifts to anyone (unless..the new girl or the old one..no I won't go any further). It seems that the fantasy girls of "Dream", Brit, Jewel (yes, she looks and sounds better than ever), and someone else who I bought their dvd single a couple of weeks ago, could be more interesting, but the real girls may make a strong showing this summer. Stay tuned........

She didn't marry me -- thankful me!!

In last Sunday's newspaper I read that the ugliest girl in my high school graduating class got married..last December!! I guess hell did freeze over, but since I'm still single we haven't reached the ice age yet! It's hard to believe she got married after all if you looked like her you wish there was a fire hydrant nearby. But enough jokes, seriously. The purpose of today's idea is that my biological clock is ticking and I wanna get hooked up soon..now..this minute!! Hard to believe that 20 years has passed since high school and I am still single while watching all the pretty girls go by. Not saying I could get any of them after all I am not beautiful but I do deserve someone (female) soon!! It's been about 9 months since the last potential relationship and it's been a damn cold night since then (oops, I'm slipping into song -- but more on that in the near future).

Reunion and the 80's Song!

Last week I finally got details of my class reunion and in all honesty I'm disappointed. Not so much as far as how, when, or where it was, but mostly the approach used to tell me about it. It was by phone while I was at work (thankfully I wasn't busy--it was too cold for people to shop!) from a girl from my graduating class. As far as I was concerned it started out bad when she said her name and then asked if I remembered her. I almost felt like saying "of course, I remember you, I and just about every other guy had a wild crush on you!". However, I resisted that moment of self-fulfilling glory and listened patiently as she continued on giving details on various things about the event. It seemed that when she said the price for couple, she actually meant COUPLE as in you would never be part of a couple would you and I would like to rub your face in it!

Even though I am still single, that doesn't mean that I don't want to be a couple--I just haven't found the right person yet. Although, sometimes I feel that the right person has come along a couple of different times, I never have succeeded in becoming a couple. Maybe its just the way I look, maybe its something else. I don't care, anyone who knows me knows that.

Beyond that, last Saturday night, while driving home from work, I was listening to an 80's flashback show when I heard that song that took me along time to shake out of my head. It was the one that went "DA DA DA". Aah, the volkwagen car ad. I never knew who sung it nor did I think it was a full length song. But there it was clogging my ears once again to the extent that I am still singing that tune again! It's bad enough that I have other songs floating in my head which I will discuss on future notes, but I think I went long enough with this one!

In the Beginning...

Hello and welcome to my long journey into the deepest part of my mind. You will read things here that may be interesting, some dull and some annoying. In any way, it will always come from my brain (or something close to it).

First up, I mentioned this on my old website previously, but it seems to be popping up again: my high school class reunion. It has been 20 years since I graduated high school and even though I have seen some of my former classmates, some of my closest ones disappeared shortly after graduation and haven't been seen since. I guess this proves who your real friends are. I haven't remained close to anyone I graduated with thus I feel it odd/weird that anyone would go to such effort to find me! Was I really that important? If so, what happened during the time between then and now. Unlike many people, I never married and never had a real serious relationship. Not that I didn't want one, but I just didn't have one. Apparently someone was looking for me yesterday at work (they know where I work?!?), who was part of my graduating class and it was a tall female. I have no idea who it was but my intrigue has been stimulated, but I have learned not get my hopes up. At least that is one thing I have learned in the last 20 years!! (yes I did learn 1 thing in 20 years.)
