I'm Back..Did You All Miss Me?!?

Hello again everyone..it has been quite a long time since the last time I did a post. Many of you probably thought that I was dead or even worse that I just gave up on this whole blog thing. Well to make a long story short several things had prevented me from updating this thing. Amongst them was being sick, having my computer lose its hard drive along with everything on it, and some other personal issues I have had to deal with.

Since I have been gone many things have happened so without further interruption let's get started:

Hilary has a new movie out: "A Perfect Man".. no I won't go see it..I will wait for it to come on DVD only because it has done so poorly at the theatre that it will be out on video soon enough..when the movie debuted at #7 you know it is in trouble..but then again I think Hil's entire career is currently in trouble. Why you ask? Consider this: Hilary had very little of the talk show circuit to promote her movie as compared to Lindsay Lohan promoting "Herbie Fully Loaded". Lindsay has been hitting up 2 or 3 shows a day and Hilary has hit an average of 1 a week. But then again Herbie is a Disney film and they really need a hit!! However, rumors abound that the film was digitally altered so that Lindsay didn't look so busty. Let's face it: this is probably the only reason why older guys like me would have even gone to see Herbie in the first place!! Oh well yearn for the days when Helen Hayes was in control of Herbie..nobody can beat that old lady!! The current Herbie is just a rehash of the original with a fresh cast. I don't have high hopes for this movie either despite Lindsay's whirlwind promoting of the film. As far as Lindsay's singing career goes..nobody does a worse job of lip-syncing than her..her GMA appearance last year proved that (learn the words to your song before you try to imitate it may have helped). I believe as far as these two girls are concerned Lindsay has a better chance of advancing her career in acting because she is able to take more daring roles. It would not surprise me if we see a naked Lindsay in a movie within 5 years (after her Disney commitment is over of course). She hinted at this idea during a recent interview on the show "The View". But I have one word of advice for Lindsay: "you are a role model for young girls..don't prove that you can be a slut just because Britney has become one alienating her fans." I for one is no longer a fan of Britney's just because she is now a pregnant girl and could honestly care less about her fans or the type of life she has led which leads me to my next point...

That awful show "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic". This show should be called "Sex With A Video Camera 101". Could we legally have seen any more of either of these two people without actually getting naked? If this show was on pay cable then maybe we would have seen a lot more of these two (as if this show wasn't disgusting enough)!! This show is followed close behind however, by the show on pay cable "Fat Actress". This show really made me sick..it was never funny and to see "Blossom" in bed naked with a guy was just disgusting!!

Ok, while I am on the things that have disgusted me: let's think about the career killing move made by Deborah "Debbie" Gibson. Way back in the 1980's I really liked this girl's music (she was the Hilary of her day), she was hot (she still looks hot too), but I was disgusted over the fact that she sold her self out to pose for Playboy. Yes I did see the pics and to be honest I really don't think this was a positive career move. Debbie, I loved you then..but now is really questionable....

I am saddened that NBC has decided to cancel one of my favorite shows : "American Dreams". This show was doomed for failure this year by being put on Wednesday night where the competition has been extremely rough. This final season's high point for me was seeing JoJo appearing as a very young Linda Ronstadt. She had the vocals down nice and did some fine acting as well. At 14, she may not be extremely well polished but she is getting better all the time. One of my friends calls her "ghetto", but I think she could do better in the future just by following her own path and not being dragged through the world becoming another Hilary, Lindsay, or Britney.

For now this is all I really have to say..but I hope to update my blog more frequently than every 6 months..somebody will really be in big trouble for that one!! Until next time....
