Brave New Girl Reviewed and Other Random Stuff
It has been a month since the last time I posted, so I figured I would beat Hilary to the punch and update my blog before she updates her diary. So here it goes..(Hil you need to catch up now!!)
The movie "Brave New Girl" which recently ran on the ABC Family channel is based on the book "A Mother's Gift" written by Britney and Lynne Spears. And my bottom line to the movie is that it wasn't great, but not crap either. The Britney references were apparent: Britney posters on the wall, Britney's "Stronger" song constantly playing. This movie seemed like the "Lizzie McGuire Movie" and "Cadet Kelly" jammed together and mixed to create this mess. A girl who goes to a school she doesn't want to be in and a movie that ends up with a big musical number. Gee, haven't we seen this before? 2 stars out of 5. Watch it but don't get excited over it. Good second rate entertainment!!
Other random thoughts:
Today, when I went shopping at one of my favorite stores and I cashed out with one of my favorite cashiers, I felt my heart fall to the floor when she handed me my bag and called me "Sir". The first thing I felt was saying to her that I wasn't that old to be called Sir and that I really wanted to go out with her!! But my better judgment prevailed unlike my past and decided to leave the store without saying a word.
It is interesting to point out that next week I celebrate my 20th birthday (ok so I am slightly older than that) and I really felt insulted by the comment. It reminded me of another girl that I tried asking out about 9 years ago and she used every excuse in the book like "too busy..Got school..No time..Etc" to get out of even wanting to spend anytime with me at all. Granted, she really wasn't a pretty girl so I felt it would be fairly easy to get her to go out with me!! No luck as she felt I was probably not good enough for her!! Thankfully, I haven't seen her in 8 years.
Going back to the birthday thing, I don't expect to get anything from anyone this year. After all, I have no relationship commitments and I have lost almost all my friends due to various things in the last couple of months (termination, transfer, moving). By the way, why haven't you contacted me AM - I gave you the info? Next year, I may take my birthday off to celebrate my pinnacle birthday year of 21 (ok I am a little older than that)!!
Anyway, lately I haven't heard from my online girl very much in the last couple of months. What used to be a nightly conversation has turned into an occasional conversation every couple of weeks. However, lately I have been having conversations with some Chinese girls (over 21 from China). They have been interesting conversations to say the least.
Finally, I wanna discuss a couple of teen topics. First, Mary-Kate and Ashley have been getting way too much press lately. Yes, they turn 18 in less than a month, but the press shouldn't hound them to death. Second, the over-exposure of Lindsey Lohan. She has recently hosted SNL (I have watched parts of it..Not all of it yet), released "Mean Girls", and been in the tabloids for being a "party girl". She, too, is turning 18 next month, but unlike the Olsens, she seems to be overexposing herself by letting her boobs hang out everywhere. Its nice to have them, but lets face it she shouldn't be flaunting them to the world especially being underage. However, she said in one interview that I read that she wouldn't mind taking her clothes off for a movie in the future. Apparently, she wants to get some early exposure. Thankfully, Hil has better values.
Anyway, until next time..Goodbye...xoxo luv ya'll lou!! Hilary it's your turn to update now!!
