Making the Video and Other Things

Apparently MTV really likes Hil. Not only was she the final live performance for 2003, but she is the first performer featured in the Making the Video series for the new year. She is featured in the making of "Come Clean". It is a somewhat better song than her previous works, but it is more of a ballard than a lively song. There are many funny parts to this show but the funniest is when our girl walks into a door and says "I didn't just do that". Yes, Lizzie still lives klutzy as ever!! The video was really cool and as I have mentioned before it involves a leaky roof and lots of rain!! My grade on the 1 to 10 scale: 10+. Let's hope that this song retires from TRL next despite the failure of "So Yesterday" (live) edition.

On another note, my online girlfriend is back after a 4 week move. She talked to me on Friday night on her cell phone messenger. She hopes to be hooked up Monday back to her computer..here's hoping!!!

Until next time..keep thinking Hil is my #1!!! luv ya'll xoxo lou*

New Year, New Name, and Hil's Blunder!!

We have changed the name of this blog to reflect that Lizzie is history!! Hilary forever!!

Now for comment on the MTV's New Years Eve Bash 2004:

Hilary looked great. But yet she was lip-syncing in her two songs.

Her first appearance was right at the top of the show with her song "So Yesterday". She was dressed in a black tanktop with sleeves cut down to her wrists, a short skirt, and high heels. Note to Hil: please, I beg, please stop going sleeveless, your arms are really getting fat and flabby.

Her second appearance which happened about 20 minutes to midnight would be the last appearance by a performer for 2003 (future trivia question). She was wearing a black tanktop with buckles on it, long pants, and high tan boots.
She was performing "Come Clean". This is when the song skipped and you could obviously tell something had gone wrong. Hil started sweating real bad on her forehead (I miss the bangs). She tried her best to get through the song without too much trouble, but it was obvious that she had been lip-syncing. It sounded too good.

As a co-host, Hil really didn't have much to do. She was more like a fifth wheel and probably did nothing most of the time. In the end credits, Hil was lost somewhere in the background behind everyone else (too short and well hidden). This was a sad way for Hil to end the night, but given everything else she was probably happier hiding!

My score for the show: (on a 10 point scale)
Hil's look: Always 10+
Hil's performance: 5 (lip-syncing sank her)
Co-host duty: 3 (not around much)
Overall show: 7 (I didn't care for the rap music parts)

Special thumbs up to Damien for giving Hil a kiss on the cheek at midnight (I found that pic online), not the lips. If that was me there, believe me she would have gotten a big wet one planted right on her lips. I love you Hil despite your performance. Better luck in 2004.

Until next time..luv ya'll xoxo lou*
My Awards for the Year 2003

It has been awhile since my last posting, but this special awards section should make up for that. This has been a pretty bad year for relationships. Many of you may know that I have only had 2 in the last 3 years and neither of them were any good. Thanks to both Tanya and Jen for making my life a living hell.

First up: The Lou Awards

Insult of the Year:
This year was supposed to be my high school reunion. However, the big insult came from D. She said that "I didn't want to go to my reunion anyway!". Ok, so I was on vacation 1500 miles away at the time. It was worse that I never responded to see whether I was even going to go in the first place.

Most Tearful Moment:
Seeing one of my high school friends who was a great athlete now confined to a wheelchair. He seemed happy though. Very disturbing.

"Kick in the Head" Award:
The reappearance of Mary. Gee, we were such a wonderful couple in junior high and high school, knew each other for 10+ years then. You ran off and got married to a guy you knew less than a year at college. You had about 5 kids and drive a minivan. Now you think I still get excited about you..NOT!!

Best New Fad:
On-line romance (thanks Becky)

Worst New Fad:
On-line romance that moves even further away from you and still hasn't been heard from in 3 weeks. (thanks Becky)

Fad that will get me jail time with Michael Jackson:
Young girls who don't read my profile about my age and come and message me and never go away.

Fad where people do read:
The dissers who hate Hilary come uninvited and say their hatred toward Hilary. I just ignore them.

and finally Girl of the Year:
To be announced February 14, 2004.

Now onto the Hilary Awards:

Best TV Special:
Hilary Duff Birthday Bash (September, the WB)
See Hil sing, see Hil surf, see Hil sing, see Hil ride an ATV, see Hil look wonderful.

Worst TV Special:
Let's Just Play (October, Nickelodeon)
Attention Spongebob fans: this is your show, Hil sung 2 songs. Hardly worth the 3 and half hours of watching. Really feel sorry for Frankie Munitz..he just cooked the hot dogs..nothing else!! Sad show...

Best TV Special Never Made:
Hilary Duff Christmas Special (early December, the WB)
Presumably this show didn't get made because Hil was on tour and the Birthday special got low ratings.

Best CD:
Metamorphosis
Duh..what did you think?

Best video: (3 way tie)
All Access Pass, Agent Cody Banks, and Lizzie McGuire Movie.
All must see just for the extras alone..except for the dissers.

Worst Video: (2 way tie)
Lizzie McGuire TV Series (Volume 1 and 2)
4 episodes each at about $15. Plus side: no nagging "Disney Channel" logo in corner and no commercials.

Best Performance:
Birthday Bash
Hilary's "Come Clean" was wonderful..no obvious lip-syncing here!!

Worst Performance:
American Music Awards (November, ABC)
Headbanging is so yesterday, Hil!

Worst than the Worst Performance:
MTV's New Year's Eve Bash 2004 (December, MTV)
Skipping records and bad lip-syncing made this a night to forget!

"Did I miss Hil on it--I blinked?" Award: (3 way tie)
American Dreams (November, NBC) - Haylie had more of a scene than Hilary did.
Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (November, CBS and NBC) - NBC showed a brief performance under 2 minutes..CBS proved she can wave for 10 seconds.

and finally Freebie of the Year:
My Hilary as Lizzie complete with luggage. I love it and her too.

Until next time..luv ya'll xoxo lou*
