Cute in the middle of nowhere!
During my recent vacation while heading home, the family stopped in Selma, North Carolina for our final overnight stay. This small town had your typical things: KFC, Pizza Hut, Waffle House, and topless joint (no, I didn't visit it--however, it was on the dirt path behind the hotel).
We decided to stop at the local Pizza Hut to pick up some pizza. While there I found the cutest little redhead named Amanda (why are Amandas always so cute?). This girl probably about 20 years old seemed to be doing everything around the restaurant from clearing dishes to running the register (using a stylus pointing at a screen left-handed). She operated the register so fast that it seemed like it was a part of her. She only smiled at me because she seemed so busy, but yet she seemed so out of place by not socializing with the other employees. Ironically, it seemed that there was only about a half-dozen customers in the restaurant on the evening that we were there. We waited about 20 minutes for our order and at all the time I was staring at this cute girl. Someday, I would like to meet this girl, but I highly doubt that she will ever come up to the northeast much less ever read this blog about her. But if she does, I will be waiting....
